while i was trying to plan a galapagos trip, i tried to get my children enthusiastic about a galapagos adventure.... my littlest had to do a book report this year on a biography, and i talked her into reading the biography of charles darwin ....
she knows a lot , so here, i'm going to let her post ...
hi this is sophie... first this is my first time ever posting on a blog but i'm only ten so give me a break and a churro please... yes a churro. well, i read the book about charles darwin that is up there, (thanks mom) did you know it was legal to marry your cousin!!! that was amazing for a fourth grader to read. Why does darwin look so grumpy in pictures... when he was an age around 40 he had 5 or 6 children!!! did you know (i love did you know things) darwin ate turtle??? that was weird... charles darwin looks so grumpy in pics i can't get over it...
see that is him as a young man and he is not smiling. I have made my point.
charles darwin went on a trip in a boat... the hms beagle was at sea for 6 or 7 years with 5 stops that were scheduled and loads and loads that weren't... so yeah 6 or 7 years at sea... his dad wanted him to be a priest... amazing that his destiny was to do this travel and scientific studies instead... the end from sophie

apparently so's fourth grade education hasn't covered caps and punctuation ... or ellipses are hereditary .....or contagious ....
more galapagos entertainment tomorrow ... perhaps a ten year old's interpretation of finch beaks and evolution ....
